"Fill In" field formated to keep initial response permanently?
I have a template that uses a Fill In field to identify the creator of the
the new document. These documents are used by multiple users; however, I want for the identity of the original author to be retained in the document. I used this funtion in past versions of Word and was able to retain that data with no problem. However, in Word 2003 everytime I print one of these documents the dialoge box pops up with the prompt to "Enter Your Name." Again, in prior versions I was never asked to update that information after the initial creation of that document. Can someone walk me through how to make that initial response a permanent part of the document? Thanks! |

Use a DOCPROPERTY Author field instead. Then the user will not have to
enter their name for each document. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis.
