Can you reference a graphic multiple times in a Word document, so that
you don't have to import the same graphic repeatedly, bloating the file
size?

Well, you can reference one but Word still keeps multiple copies. As far as
I know there is no wy to do anything about it. You can reduce file size by
linking to the graphic rather than embedding it, if that's a practical
option for you.

If you insert the graphic as a link, it won't be embedded in the document at
all. If you must embed it, you could bookmark it and use Insert | Reference
| Cross-reference to Bookmark Text.
