Sharing settings between XP profiles
Using Office 2003 on Windows XPSP2.
I have a laptop provided by my employer. When I log on to the network at work, I use a different profile ("Jim_at_work") from when I am at home and log on to "This computer" ("Jim_at_home"). Jim_at_home has administrator privileges, but Jim_at_work has very restricted user rights - no access to Control Panel, for example. Now I have finally got Word set up at home the way I like it, is there any simple way to apply my settings (templates, styles, toolbars, proofing tools etc.) to the profile I use at work? What about Windows things like language and keyboard preferences? As an example of the sort of thing I have had to do, the shortcut to Jim_at_home's "My documents" folder now points to Jim_at_work's document folder, because otherwise I would not have access to files I had worked on at home. -- Noel |
