Default sloping text in word

Is it possible to have sloping text in word? I.e - text at an orientation of
45 degrees as if going downhill.

Not easily. You can --

1. Use WordArt. OK if you have only a few words to deal with.

2. Enter the text normally. Copy. PasteSpecial using one of the picture
formats. You end up with a picture which you can then rotate freely. The
text is not editable, and the graphic result may not be acceptable.

3. Use a graphic application like Corel or Photoshop.

Try this website, it's excellent for advanced formatting, such as text
orientation. Somebody sent it to me in an earlier post.
