Where's my "Tools" button?!
Hello,
You have all helped me many times in the past, I have a new problem I hope you can help with. I have no Tools menu in Word 2003! It's just missing. At first I thought it was a change with version 2003, but I almost pulled all my hair out when trying to find the Envelope and Label Wizard just to have Help tell me to find it in the Tools menu. I've tried right clicking and customizing the toolbars but there are no ways of actually removing or reeplacing any buttons as far as I can tell. What I have right now is: File, Edit, View, Insert, Format, Window, Help, Acrobat Comments, Acrobat Comments. Obviously, it looks like Acrobat has done something with my tools menu but I would like to get it back without removing Acrobat if possible. And I also recognize that there are two Acrobat Comments menus, but they each have different options in them. So I blame that on Adobe. Can anyone offer a suggestion on getting my Tools button back? Please? Thanks |

Ok. I was able to fix it on my own.
I deleted both Normal.dot files in my Documents and settings folder. Word recreated it and all my menus are back. Hope this helps someone else.
