Have you tried looking at "Change how Word starts" or "Startup
switches" in Word Help? In previous versions you use a startup switch: /n Start a new instance of Word with no document open. Documents opened in each instance of Word will not appear as choices in the Window menu of other instances. Well /n still works for me. And if I type 'Startup switches' into Word Help,
the third hit in the list is all about command line switches. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "rmstow" wrote in message ... I cannot find "Change How Word Starts" in help.
