Default word 2007

I am trying to send out resumes with my brand new word 2007 that I bought and
no one seems to be able to recieve it. The end of the resume has docx at the
end I've never seen an x at the end of a doc document so not sure if this is
why people can't see it. What could be the problem?? I really need some help
here I've spent $150 and I really need to get these resumes out. Thanks

Default word 2007

Word 2007 docx format is not compatible with earlier versions of Word
(unless the relevant converters are available). It is not a good plan to
expect someone to download software to read your resume, so save it in Word
97-2003 (doc) format instead.

I'd grab the PDF Add-In from the MSFT site:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

and convert the document to PDF. And send that.

It's not clear whether there are more PCs out there with Adobe Reader
than with any version of Word (so it's hard to argue which format is
more universal), but in PDF at least you're safe from most unexpected
changes in layout.

2cents
