Problem with the Page Break
Hi All,
Before a new chapter or new sub-chapter I putting a page break and in paragraph mode (¶) the page break in taking the Style of heading 1(for a chapter) or heading 2 ( for a sub chapter). Is it ok? Can I ignore the same? The reason I am asking is if I try to change the style of the page break even the heading is changing. I am using ms 2003. Thanks for the help. Regards, SAM |

Problem with the Page Break
A manual Page Break will automatically have the style of the following
paragraph, this is normal and, as you have noted, if you change this paragraph's style the following (chapter heading, etc.) changes as well. Instead of using a manual Page Break before each chapter/section change, have you tried applying the Paragraph setting of "Page Break Before" or "Keep with next" to the Heading style instead, this can be very effective. Hope this helps DeanH "sam" wrote: Hi All, Before a new chapter or new sub-chapter I putting a page break and in paragraph mode (¶) the page break in taking the Style of heading 1(for a chapter) or heading 2 ( for a sub chapter).
