Default overtype words

Hi,

When I double click a word, it is selected. If I then overtype it with
something, the text is inserted before the word. The word is not replaced.
Before it was replaced. Is it some setting? How can I get it back to replace
instead of inserting text before?

In Word, click on Tools | Options | Edit tab | check the "Typing
replaces selection" box | OK.
