open word file with last page first
I have to type up the minutes of the monthly meeting of an organization I am
a member of, so when I open the file I want there to be a "blank" page with our logo "auto header" at the top. Then if I scroll down a page I will find the previous months notes. Either this, or it auto open to the first blank page at the end, so I don't have to scroll through an ever increasing amount of pages. I know how to do the header, if someone could just tell me how to open to a blank page. This would be the same as sorting by newest first, I hope I have explained this good enough. |

When the document opens on the first page, you have two choices: (1) You can press Ctrl+Enter to insert a page break to create a new first page before the existing text, then Left Arrow to get to the starting point. Or... (2) You can press Ctrl+End to go to the end of the document and press Ctrl+Enter to start a new page at the end of the document. If you remember to press Ctrl+Enter to start a new page in either place before you save and close the current minutes, it will be ready to start the next month's entry as soon as you open (remember Ctrl+End if needed). -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
