Default How to make cursor position show on horizontal ruler?

Is there a way to show the current cursor location on the horizontal ruler in
Word XP?

No. But you can pretend to set a tab and there will be a dotted line going
down into your document that moves as you drag the tab, so you can align
that with the current cursor location.
