Default Deleting Hiden Text

Find: empty Find What box, click More button, Format, Font, check the Hidden
box.
Replace With, nothing.
This get rid of all the hidden text within your document, but how is the
Hidden text being generated in the first instance? Hidden text, specifically
text with the format of Hidden applied does not just "pop up"?
What exactly are you seeing? Are you seeing Field codes, Non-printing
characters?

Does this "hidden" text appear every time you do an edit?
Is it a diiferent colour or strickthrough? Or do you get balloons on the
right side of you document? If so you may have Track Changes activated.
Either double click the TRK on the bottom of the Word window (should go from
black to grey) or Ctrl+Shft+E to toggle function.
If this is not the case, please can you describe exactly what you are seeing
and what you are doing that creates this hidden text.
Hope this helps

Forgot to mention that if it is Track Changes, you need to Accept or Reject
changes in the whole document before turning the function off.
