Problems updating table of contents
I am working on designing a protected template. I have set Editing
Restrictions to "No changes (Read only)". Under Exceptions, I have selected areas of the document that I want everyone to be able to edit--one area being the table of contents. I then protect the document. The problem occurs when a user builds a document using the template. They can only update the table of contents once. If an attempt is made to update the table of contents twice, the user will find that Update Field is unavailable (disabled). Is there a way to prevent this from happening so that the user can update the table of contents whenever they need to? Thanks |

Problems updating table of contents
Hi Sscentrix,
I have the same problem and posted a question, which is in the list just a few before yours. I've had one reply, but this didn't solve the problem. I'll keep an eye on your replies, you might also want to check my replies to see if I get a solution. Good luck! Mnew27 "sscentrix" wrote: I am working on designing a protected template.
