Moving and converting office 2003 templates to office 2007
I have 20 plus excel and word 2003 templates on an XP laptop.
I have gotten a new laptop with windows vista and office 2007. I need to get the 2003 templates working on the new machine using office 2007 Can I copy the 2003 templates and paste them into a template folder and then open them as templates in office 2007. If yes, where are the office templates stored ? If not how can it be done? Many thanks in advance Larry |

Assuming the Word templates have macros that are compatible with Word 2007
(some functions eg Autotext) are different, then copy them into the folder defined at Word Options Advanced File Locations User templates (or a sub folder of that folder) and they will be available from New My Templates. or open them from their present location and save them as Macro enabled templates in the Trusted Locations folder (which should be the same place as above). -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org LarryG wrote: I have 20 plus excel and word 2003 templates on an XP laptop.
