Default word 2003 pdf convert

Hello,

I'm trying to convert a Word document created in Word 2003. I have Adobe
Acrobat Professional 6.0. I don't have the pdf icon I've seen in other Word
applications and when I try the conversion in Acrobat, it opens the Word file
and then nothing happens. Please help!
