copy/paste loses page numbers
I'm guessing that you're somehow pasting over something that contains a
section break, which contains page formatting. If the text doesn't contain formatting (e.g., styles, bold, italics, etc.), you can try choosing Edit - Paste Special - Unformatted text. If there is formatting you need to retain, then you can try carefully selecting text so as NOT to include section breaks, and pasting so as not to replace section breaks. -- Herb Tyson MS MVP http://www.herbtyson.com Please respond in the newsgroups so everyone can follow along. "sattabelle" wrote in message ... I cannot retain page numbering in printer output when I have copied and pasted a section of a document, in order to correct a typo or rephrase a sentence, etc. When I print the selected text on the page/pages, the numbering is gone. I find it very disagreeable to have to print the entire document after making a change on 1 or 2 pages out of 65-70 pages. Of course, it would be much better if I made no mistakes, or decided to change something, but..... Any ideas on how I can solve this? Much thanks! |
