I have created a large word document that I would like to open up in full
screen view when a user clicks on the short cut.
I am using word 2000 & windows XP. I dont want this to affect other word
documents when they are open in normal view. Please explain carefully.

Default open word in full screen

Hi ?B?U3R1YXJ0?=,

I have created a large word document that I would like to open up in full
screen view when a user clicks on the short cut.
I am using word 2000 & windows XP. I dont want this to affect other word
documents when they are open in normal view.

Try this (with a copy of the document):

Start the macro recorder; name the macro AutoOpen; make sure it's being
saved in the document, itself.

Record the steps to go into the View you want

Stop the macro recorder

Now try closing, then re-opening the document

Hello Cindy
Im afraid this doesnt work, The macro doesnt activate on opening the
document. Also I would need Word to resort back to normal view after the
document is closed.

Default open word in full screen

Did you name the macro AutoOpen as instructed? And save it in the document
(not the document template or Normal.dot)?
