Versions in Word
I miss "save as" as an option in MS word. How can I get it back?
Instead, I'm saddled with the clunkier "versions" option. Is the version of Word I have. Did I toggle something wrong? |

If you don't see the Save As command on the File menu, then read http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/Custom...oreMenuCmd.htm. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Versions in Word
To emphasize what Jay is saying, Save As has emphatically not been removed
from Word, and the Versions feature (which has been in Word for many versions) is not intended as a replacement and in fact its use is almost never recommended at all. -- Suzanne S.
