Sure, changing the layout of selected text to two columns in Microsoft Word is pretty easy. Here are the steps:
That's it! Your selected text should now be formatted in two columns. If you want to change it back to a single column layout, simply select the text again and choose One from the Columns drop-down menu.

Under the Format menu, select Columns and choose 2 columns. That will apply
to the selection. -- Terry Farrell - MS Word MVP "Dale" wrote in message ... In Micro word, how do you change the layout of the selected text to two column? |

In Word97 that requires a 'continuous section break' at the end of the part with the two columns, can't answer for later versions. -- Chris Game Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine. |

If there is text above and below the selected text, Word takes care of
inserting the two Continuous breaks. There is, however, a Compatibility Option that affects whether columns above a Continuous break are balanced. -- Suzanne S.
