A few days ago I noticed that whenever I was in Word, the save as dialog box
would appear out of the blue and I would be forced to save whatever document
I was editing at the time. Today for the first time, I noticed that whenever
I launch Word I'm immediately greeted with a save as dialog box that I can't
get past - if I hit cancel it reappears, if I hit save the save as box pops
right back up. Therefore I'm unable to do anything in word. The same thing
appears to be happening in Excel. It does not appear to be happening in other
apps like open office or regular notepad.

What is going on here ? I'm out of ideas. I've tried reinstalling and that
has not worked. Could this be a MS specific virus of some sort. Has anyone
else experienced this problem in the past. Need help on this as soon as
possible.. I have a paper due on Monday!!

I haven't seen your problem before, but try working through the
troubleshooting steps in
