How can I fill in a form I scanned into a word document?
I am doing a grant application with many forms to fill out. I would like to
scan them into word and fill them out on the computer as it would look more professional. How do I do this? Any help is very much appreciated. |

Hi ?B?Q3J1bmNo?=,
I am doing a grant application with many forms to fill out. I would like to scan them into word and fill them out on the computer as it would look more professional. You'll find lots of information on how to create forms at www.mousetrax.com and word.mvps.org Basically, you'd scan in the form as a graphic. Insert that as a picture in the header/footer layer. Place the form fields over it. (Then, possibly, delete the picture and just print to the pre-printed forms.) Word is not good for this. You'll spend a _lot_ of time.
Consider using special software. A form filler program comes with the PaperPoint software that comes with my scanner. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://www.mvps.org/word which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
