No Printer in Print Dialog Box
I'm using Word 2003, SP2, and every time I open Word and go to File, Print,
the "Name" box is empty, there is no printer listed. I can click the down arrow and select a printer, but I'd like to have my default printer appear in the Name box. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you. -- Carolyn |

No Printer in Print Dialog Box
Assuming your 'default' printer is actually flagged as default in Windows,
Word should always offer that as the active printer when started. The fact that it doesn't *may* suggest corruption of the Word data key in the registry. Try renaming the 'Settings' sub key to (say) OldSettings with Word closed. If that doesn't fix it, see http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm then http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...artingWord.htm. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Carolyn wrote: I'm using Word 2003, SP2, and every time I open Word and go to File, Print, the "Name" box is empty, there is no printer listed.
