Default How can I set the default view in Templates folder to "list"?

I have over 100 templates in my Word Templates folder and would much prefer
the default view in the Templates folder to be "list" rather than "icons". Is
there any way I can do this?

I don't know of anything short of a programming solution - which is beyond
my abilities - but you might just consider creating folders within the
Templates folder & storing associated templates within them. Each will
appear as a separate tab in the Templates dialog just like those you see
now, but labeled based on the name of the folder. When selected each
displays only the templates stored in that folder.
