I want to have my document look like this:

Day 1
Day 1-1 Headinga
Day 1-2 Headingb
Day 2
Day 2-1 Headingc
Day 2-2 Headingd
:

The numbers must be automatically generated.
(Afterwards I want to make an automatic list of content.)

Is it possible in Word?

Regards Knut

Yes, this is possible but you must set up the numbering with some care,
following the steps as explained by Shauna Kelly in
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numb...Numbering.html

It will be easiest to do this if you use (modify) Heading 1 style for Day
n, and Heading 2 style for the next level of heading, but if you can't do
this just follow the method using your own paragraph styles.
