Default Cut and delete, not cut and paste.

I cut some information then decided I wanted to delete it. I can only paste.

Huh?

I don't understand your problem...

If you cut somthing, then don't bother to paste it anywhere, that's pretty
much the same thing as deleting it, except for it will sit on the clipboard
until you clear it or overwrite it...

Default Cut and delete, not cut and paste.

Or select a single character and copy it to replace the cut material on the
Clipboard.

Chris' reply is all you need - once it is cut, it's cut/removed/deleted -
but if it will make you feel better, go ahead & paste, then select what

you
pasted & press the Delete key.
