2003 Language Setting Problem

Received text email from new boss, copied to Word 2003 document.
Had changed Word language settings to English UK. Somehow everything went
French on me.

Have spent many hours trying to resolve the issue.
Have confirmed that Windows, Office & Word language settings are all
defaulted the same. Still have same problem with every new document that I
create or cut/paste into Word.

Need help ASAP, please.
