Why the Character O disappers
Hello,
When I type a sentence that starts with the letter O, then I click on bullets or numbering, the letter O disappears. This happens in Word 2007 or 2010. What is happening? T.I. |

Is there a setting to turn this off?

In the AutoCorrect dialog box, clear the option for "Automatic bulleted lists"
on the AutoFormat As You Type tab. Actually you may want to clear most options under "Apply as you type." To display the dialog box, click Office button | Word Options; in the Proofing category, click the AutoCorrect Options button (Word 2007). -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "TITANI" wrote in message ... Your observation is correct: I hadn't noticed that before. It seems like a bug.
:-( However, Word should "behave" if you use a bulleted (or numbered) style instead of applying direct bullet (number) formatting via the Home tab. You can quickly apply the List Bullet style by pressing Ctrl+Shift+L. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "TITANI" wrote in message ... I tried your suggestion yet it did not solve it.
