Default Selecting discontiguos words

In MS Word 2002, I can select discontiguos words by using the CTRL key and
mouse click. In Ms Word 2000, I can't do that. Instead, it only selects the
entire sentence.

That's right. That was a new feature in Word 2002.

Do you have a question, or were you just looking for confirmation?

I was looking for confirmation and also a way to do this in Word 2000. Is
there a way that you know of?

No. It's simply not supported in Word 2000.
