Unfilled fields in a mail merge
I use a proprietory Access based data base. When I call up a letter from the
database, it should open a word document (using a letter template) with the clients name & Address. The first time I try to do this the template appears as a read only doc, and the letter is openned as a document but with the form fields unfilled i.e. displaying the same as on the template. If I delete that letter & try again from scratch it works ok (still brings up both docs, but with the letter populated. Any ideas? Tom |

This is more an Access programming issue than a Word Mailmerge problem. If
we could see the code behind the Access form, we might be able to help, but it would probably be better to post to one of the Access newsgroups. -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "Tom Knapp" wrote in message ...
