Centering document
Is there any easy way to center a document (say a letter) in the middle of a
page without manually inserting lines or changing the margins? I'm looking for an easy way out here. |

File | Page Setup | Layout: Vertical alignment: Center. But you probably
won't like the results. -- Suzanne S. No, other than vertical alignment, which likely will not give you results
you want. I have an alternative set of styles I use for short letters. They have larger fonts, wider left and right indents, and more space before. They are applied by a macro attached to a custom toolbar button. (There is another that does the opposite, shrinking the letter, and a third that restores my starting styles.) It is a lot to set up initially but works well once it is set up. Of course it requires that all formatting be done through styles. It helps to have cascading styles. -- Charles Kenyon Word New User FAQ & Web Directory: http://addbalance.com/word Intermediate User's Guide to Microsoft Word (supplemented version of Microsoft's Legal Users' Guide) http://addbalance.com/usersguide See also the MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/ which is awesome! --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- --------- This message is posted to a newsgroup.
