Default Cropping an Image by custom points

I am sure that there used to be functionality that allowed me to crop an
image by custom points, i.e. - not being limited to an end product with
straight edges.

I am desperately trying to crop a picture in half from the bottom left
corner through to the upper right corner in a zig-zag fashion but have yet to
find the functionality. I am using Word 2003 within Windows XP.

Any help to a solution would be gratefully received.

Word's Graphic editing capabilities do not include this functionality

If you set wrapping to Tight, you can then click Edit Wrap Points on the
Text Wrapping menu of the Format Picture toolbar. This allows you to edit
the wrap but not crop the image itself.
