Default special date field code

Is there a date field code that will enter the date as 20th instead of 20, as
in "20th day" instead of "20 day"?

Default special date field code

You need an ordinal switch eg

{ Date \@ d \* Ordinal } day of {Date \@ MMMM }

If you want the ordinal to be superscripted then see
