Default Footers

I'm trying to change one footer on a page to match the footer on the pages
that follow. The preceding footers are different as they are supposed to be.
(There are three different footers in the document.) I can't find the "Link
to Previous" tab that the instructions say to use to change the footer. Can
someone help me with this?

In some versions of Word, the option is called "Same as Previous" rather
than "Link to Previous."

Also, note that each type of header (footer) can only be linked/unlinked to
a footer of the same type in the preceding section. For example, you can
link the first page header in section 2 to the first page header in section
1. For more on headers and footers, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm.

You can have up to three different footers in a given section (see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm), but you won't have an
active Link to Previous (or Same as Previous) button unless you have more
than one section.
