Default lining up lines

Whenever making lines in Word using the "_" button the lines never end up
lining up with each other on the right side of the screen. This has driven
me crazy for years but now I have to get it to look right for this document.
Any suggestions?

Default lining up lines

Set a right aligned tab stop at the end point with a leader. EG if you wish
the lines to end at 7 inches : Format| Tab type the end point, 7, click on
alignment Right, and the select the leader number 4. Click on set. To operate
just type your text and then leave a space before pressing the tab key. All
will line up at the margin and it's so much quicker too. If you are doing
this on a document that is already prepared, don't forget to select the whole
document before setting the tab. Does this solve your problem?
