Default Headers and Footers

How can I make a set template Header and Footer which I will be able access
in any of my word documents? It would be great to have saved headers and
footers in excel also, is this possible?
Thanks

You can save the header and footer data as AutoText entries stored in
normal.dot. For more on
AutoText, see http://word.mvps.org/faqs/customization/AutoText.htm.

For the corresponding task in Excel, you'd better ask in an Excel
newsgroup.
