I'm not sure I follow you, but I suspect what you're looking for is either
(a) a way to remove the text of your printed page from all new documents or (b) a way to remove the name of the saved file from the Getting Started task pane. If (a) is what you mean, see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm If you mean (b), note that the same files are listed in the MRU list at the bottom of the File menu. You can't remove filenames directly from the Getting Started task pane, but you can remove them from the File menu, and that removes them from the task pane as well. Press Ctrl+Alt+Hyphen. The mouse pointer will change to a big minus sign. Hover the mouse over the File menu to open it, then click on the filename you want to remove. Use this shortcut carefully, as it will remove *any* menu item you click on. It is "used up" after one click, however, and can be dismissed with ESC if you ever press it inadvertently. -- Suzanne S.
