Help Wizard does not suggest how to create a business card.
I'm am totally cluess how a company of this magnitude, programming a piece of
software of this magnitude creates a help file that returns only TEMPLATES linked online when a user clicks HelpMicrosoft Office Word Help or HelpShow Office Assistant and uses the search parameters "create business card". Is Microsoft SO clueless as to think that someone typing in "create business card" into a help search engine just MIGHT be looking for help to "create business card"? Maybe Microsoft has not reached the level in Word wherein you CAN create a business card. Maybe the user MUST use a premade template at this time in Microsoft. How freagin' absurd. WHY did I give in and leave WordPerfect?!?!? I'm using Microsoft Word from the Office 2003 Suite with the latest updates per Microsoft checking. ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. Well, first of all, Word is not the best application in which to create
business cards. And about the only way you're likely to be creating business cards in Word is using pre-cut or pre-perfed sheets of cards from Avery and similar "label" makers. These products usually come with some instructions. Beyond that, you use Tools | Letters and Mailings | Envelopes and Labels. 1. On the Labels tab, click Options..., and select your product 2. OK to close the Options dialog, then click New Document... 3. The new document is set up as a table, so make sure you have table gridlines displayed (Table | Show Gridlines) so you can see the label (card) boundaries. 4. From there, you create a card in one table cell, Copy, select the entire table, and Paste. You may find some additional assistance at http://www.gmayor.com/graphics_on_labels.htm -- Suzanne S.
