Center body of label
I'm doing mailing labels and would like the text centered top-to-bottom on
the label. Hopefully there's a simple way to accomplish this without having to move label to label adding an extra return. |

Center body of label
By default, Word centers labels vertically. Mail merge, however, for
unfathomable reasons, adds a couple of extra paragraphs to each label, which will throw this off. When you set up the first label, display nonprinting characters so that you can see these extra paragraphs and delete them. If the label is not vertically centered, use the Vertical Alignment control on the shortcut menu to Center it. Do all this before you propagate the labels. Note that if you don't see Vertical Alignment on the shortcut menu (it's not on all the Table shortcut menus by default), you can try changing the selection or display the Tables and Borders toolbar; I can't see that this control is available anywhere else except by going to the Cell tab of Table Properties (though I guess you could add it to the Table menu). -- Suzanne S.
