Default Word Viewer 2003

I have installed Word Viewer 2003 but cannot seem to open Word documents
received in an e-mail. When I click YES to the question, "Do you want to open
this file?", I get a message, "Preparing to install", and then "The patch
package could not be opened."
I'd be grateful if someone could help me resolve this.

Default Word Viewer 2003

Hi Isles

It sounds like you may have downloaded a patch for the Word Viewer, rather
than the Word Viewer itself.

You can get the Word Viewer from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...DisplayLang=en

The instructions on that page say you have to download the wdviewer.exe
file, and then double-click the wdviewer.exe file install it. Is that what
you did?

Hope this helps.
