Default Header & footer frustration!

My first page header is somehow linked to my 15th page header. Even thought
the 'different first page' is active.)
The rest are all sequentially placed. How do i break this link and make the
15th page in sync with the rest? I dont want any header/footer on the first
page!

Note that each type of header (first page, odd, and even header) in a section
must be separately unlinked from its "neighbor" in the preceding section. See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm.
