I find that my normal. dot is continually being corrupted, either because I
paste in text from other documents or because I have made minor formats
changes to a specific piece of text. If I embolden a sentence I find that a
new style with "+bold" has been created. This happens even though the "add to
template" and "automatically update" boxes are unchecked. The end result is
unstable templates and frequent deleting of new and unwanted styles.
