Default Template Problem

Hello,

I have a template that has many macros in it. One is for a Double bullet
style, which generates the rounded (filled in) bullet, inserts the tab stop
and wraps the text to keep the alignment.

This bullet style has been used in various various versions of my template.
I have used this template for over a year and it has always worked with
Office 2000 and Office 2003 (template was tested on both versions). I am now
on Office 2003, but when I send a file to someone who is on Office 2000 or
Office 2002, the nice rounded, filled in bullets are ow appearing as boxes.
A similar bullet style for single space bulleted lists works fine and has no
problem.

I have checked the web and Office Online and from what I have read Macros
stored in MS Word 2000 and 2002 templates or documents should run as designed
in MS Word 2003.

Has anyone experienced this and is there a fix? I

Thanks to everyone for your reply.

Hi Mkate-

This suggests that your style may be calling for a bullet character from a
font that isn't available on the other systems or a similar font-related
issue.

Hello,

Thank you or your response. I will check this style as it should be the
same as my single bullet style, which contiues to work properly.

FWIW, you should not need a macro for this purpose. All you need is a style
(you can assign it a keyboard shortcut if desired). You could start by
customizing one of the List Bullet series of built-in styles. See

I meanto say I use a bullet style and no a macro. I have a style for my two
bullets. I use shortcut keystrokes for the double bullet style, which double
spaces at the end of the bullet. I also use a single bullet style with a
shortcut keystroke that single spaces when the enter key is hit.

The single style works okay but the double is causing the problems. Thanks
for the reference. I will review the information.

Read the article anyway. It will give you more insight into what is going on
behind the scenes and will help you set up styles that will work
consistently.
