Default empty image placeholder?

Is there such an object for Word 2003 as in PPT, where in the template I am
creating, I can have a placeholder intended for a graphic? Like in the
97-200 version of PPT where it had the placeholder withthe image of the
head-dude, so you knew if you double clicked on it, you would be adding an
image, not a chart or somethign else?
I am building a template for users who will be copying text out of
Pagemaker and putting into new versions of the file in Word. They don't want
these users to copy the images out of PM, they want them to insert them from
the original directory location. (I don't know why). What is the best way to
identify AND RESTRAIN this type of object?

Thanks.
