Default Excel, Word 2003, 2007, Vista!!!

I have a new laptop with Vista (Ugh!!) and have imported an Excel program
(names and address) that needs to be updated and added to. I can edit any of
it but it won't add new lines to put in the new addresses. Am I missing
something here. Never had this problem in the old program.

How is Excel related to Word? As in the title of this group?

As Gordon mentioned, you seem to have posted in the incorrect group.
In answer to your question, there should be no reason that you cannot
edit any document in a new version of any of the Office applications
unless the document is protected in some way or you are using a time-
limited version of Office that has expired.
