Printing 271 envelopes
Would you expect to be able to print 271 envelopes in a Word merged file,
with no problems. I can print one at a time but when I send the whole document to print, nothing happens. No error message, nothing. |

Printing 271 envelopes
I should also mention, I saved it and am trying to print it from a different
PC an d printer. Are there any specific settings I should check. Or as I was wondering perhaps it is just too big a job to ask it to print all at once. What do you think? Printing 271 envelopes
271 pages should not be a problem. Does print preview show anything? If
nothing shows there it seems likley that you have some element of the text hidden. If it does show, then it is possible that the printer is expecting manual feed. Check the page settings of your document for the tray configuration on the paper tab. There are some envelope templates for download on my web site - create a document from one as appropriate and add your merge fields and see if that prints. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org yvonne wrote: I should also mention, I saved it and am trying to print it from a different PC an d printer. Printing 271 envelopes
Thanks Graham
I had no idea there was so much support out there for Word users! I consider myself fairly expert, but your site is just amazing - I didn't know how much I didn't know. Thanks for the envelope templates, I downloaded them for future use, but this document is for A2 size envelopes - that was a joy in itself, as Word thinks it cannot print to that small an envelope, so I had to use the work around I found somewhere on this site. I will check the settings you mentioned and tinker with it a little more and see what happens. Thanks for your help. PS ht photos on your site also made me quite homesick, I am an Brit living in the USA. "Graham Mayor" wrote: 271 pages should not be a problem. Does print preview show anything? Printing 271 envelopes
Thanks for the kind comments
As for the templates open and change the page setup to the next larger valid size than the A2 size you require, then move the address frame to where it needs to be to print correctly then save as with a new name. As you probably gathered from my web site, I too am a Brit living abroad. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org yvonne wrote: Thanks Graham I had no idea there was so much support out there for Word users!
