In the Format | Paragraph dialog box the Indent is set to whatever
measurement you are using on the ruler. This is set in the Tools | Options |
General Tab at the bottom of the dialog box set the measurement unit to
points if this is your desired measurement. The Spacing is measured in
points. However you can type the figure followed by the measurement you wish
and Word will convert it. Hope this helps.

If you want to enter a value, you can enter it in any of the units
that Word recognizes -- just include the appropriate abbreviation. For
example, you can enter 1.5 li (lines), 18 pt (points), 0.5 in
(inches), 1.3 cm (centimeters), and probably a few others.

If you're trying to match a particular number of lines to a number of
points, that depends on the font and size of the text in the
paragraph. Each font has information about how far apart the baselines
of the text should be for each size. Usually Word sets the baseline
separation at 120% of the nominal point size -- that is, 10 point type
is set 12 points apart (a typographer would say that there is 2 point
"leading", or that the text is set "10 on 12").

You can print a sample and measure the line spacing. The conversion
factor is 72 points = 1 inch.
