Default Word Forms

I've created a form in word using text boxes. I've formated the text box to
percentages but when entered a number like "3" instead of getting 3% I get
300%. Any suggestions as to how to stop the multiplication of 100?

Thanks!

In the properties of the text box, "Number Format" should be #0#%

3 *is* 300%. .03 = 3%.
