Default merge in existing document

I am working on making name badges for a party we have this week. I have a
template made up (that has been around our office for YEARS) that has our
company logo and border. I am trying to merge the information into this
template, but can't figure out how. I am using Word 2003. I have tried to
do mail merge, labels, use existing document, but it would work, it keeps
changing from labels to a letter. If I wanted a letter I would do it. I
don't want to have to type over 100 names into the template...is there
ANYTHING I can do?? Thank you!

Another way to go about it is to run your name badges through the printer
twice. Once for the border/template printing, and then another with the
merged name info. I've found this is helpful in keeping the size of my
merged name badge documents under control and easier to work with.
