Default How do I place an existing Word document in another document?

I need to retain the original formatting of the existing Word document when I
place it in the 2nd document. Is there a way to do this?

Insert a section break (Insert menu) in the 2nd document just before the
place where you plan to make the insert. Hit Enter once to create a
paragraph mark, then insert another section break (unless the inserted
material follows or precedes all the existing test). You can then insert the
existing Word document over the paragraph mark. If you need to make further
formatting changes, the Page Setup menu has an "Apply to" list in which you
can select "Whole document" or individual sections.

Thanks for your response. One more question...Do I use copy and paste or use
Insert? I just want to make sure I do this correctly.
