Ctrl+Space removes direct font formatting (and character styles). In
order to remove direct paragraph formatting, press Ctrl+Q.

Frame formatting has been added to your style. You can remove it via
the Modify Style dialog box (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styl...fyAStyle.html). In the
dialog box, click the Format button, and then click Frame. Click the
Remove Frame button, and click OK, OK.

If this affects all new documents, open the normal.dot template and
repeat the procedure. See
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/apperrors/...ocNotBlank.htm.

Is the style a table style? That would certainly explain the behavior
you are describing.
